COLUMBUS, OHIO— Today, Ohio Right to Life announced the addition of three new members to Ohio Right to Life's Board of Directors—Emily Moreno Miller, Philip Williamson, and Sheila Willamowski Boehner.

Marshal Pitchford, Chairman of Ohio Right to Life's Board of Directors, commented, "Ohio Right to Life is honored to have such passionate advocates for life join our Board of Directors. Emily, Philip, and Sheila have proven their dedication to the cause and will all be invaluable voices for the preborn. Their expertise and diverse set of ideas and talents will strengthen our ability as an organization to build a culture of life here in Ohio."

Emily Moreno Miller is a Political Strategist with a long history of fighting for life. She campaigned diligently to get pro-life advocates elected into office at the state and national level—including President Donald Trump.

She and her husband recently announced that they are expecting their first child, due in November 2023.

Miller stated, "I am honored to join a leading pro-life organization in Ohio as we push to protect the unborn and uphold the dignity of the living. As a Board, we will continue to educate the public and encourage our elected leaders to pass laws that strengthen the protection of the unborn and mothers."

Philip Williamson is an attorney with a large law firm in Cincinnati and has been involved on the legal side of the pro-life movement for many years—leading up to his filing of an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in support of the preborn in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health, which overturned Roe v. Wade. Additionally, Philip is a Blackstone Fellow with the Alliance Defending Freedom and a James Wilson Fellow with the James Wilson Institute on Natural Rights and the American Founding.

Philip and his wife Katlyn live in Lebanon, Ohio, with two sons, a daughter, and their moody cat Clive—named after C.S. Lewis.

"I am honored to join the Board of Ohio Right to Life at such a pivotal moment for our state and our country," stated Williamson. He continued, "I look forward to working with the rest of the Board—and pro-lifers around the state—to build a culture where people not only live but thrive from conception to natural death."

Sheila Willamowski Boehner is a 2011 Blackstone Legal Fellow (and a captain of the Columbus City group) and a Federalist Society member. She is the eldest daughter of former State Representative John Willamowski and of Mona Willamowski, who jointly practiced law while raising four children in Lima/Allen County.

Sheila has observed the work of Ohio Right to Life while working at the Ohio House of Representatives, during which she served as legal counsel under multiple House Speakers. She has also served as a counsel for State Treasurer Robert Sprague and Secretary of State Frank LaRose. Most recently, she served as the Deputy Chief of Staff/Executive Counsel to the Speaker under former Speaker Bob Cupp. She now practices law as an attorney at a Columbus-based law firm.

When asked about joining the board, Sheila stated, "I have personally seen a 23-week-old premature baby—with fully formed fingers and toes—just kicking away in her NICU pod. I have personally heard the heartbeat of a six-week-old life in the womb." Continuing, "To me, these lives are examples of the most vulnerable among us and whom we as a civilized society must fight to support and protect—because they cannot fight for themselves. To the contrary, I have been very blessed to have a voice—and a law degree. I am honored to join this board, and I humbly offer whatever assistance I can provide to help support a cause so dear to my heart."

Sheila resides in Grove City with her husband, Kevin, and their young daughter.
